About #100MenRising

100MenRising was created to call on men to be advocates of change — pledging anti-violence, stepping into visibility, and honoring the strength, resilience, and lives of women.

Officially launched five years ago, the movement was born out of the prayers and vision of elders and women who called on men to rise to the work of ending violence. Since then, #100MenRising has mobilized men each year to stand in solidarity at the Brides’ March, breaking the silence around intimate partner violence and showing up as visible allies in the struggle for safety and healing.

Looking toward the future, #100MenRising is expanding beyond the march to build ongoing spaces for education, healing, and advocacy. The movement is committed to equipping men with the tools, knowledge, and community support to challenge cycles of harm and become active partners in creating a culture rooted in respect, accountability, and love.

Carlos G. Rosario

Born in Puerto Rico and raised in the Bronx, Carlos Rosario is a multidimensional healer, spiritual coach, and long-time LGBTQ+ activist, widely known as The Green Light Warrior. He is the creator of Atabexmen, a healing circle for men committed to dismantling violence and patriarchy through collective healing and transformation.

Carlos blends breathwork, meditation, and Espiritismo as the foundation of his multidimensional approach to healing and wellness. His work centers on empowering marginalized communities of color, fostering individual transformation, and creating opportunities for connection through healing circles and community forums.

Over the years, Carlos has mobilized more than 50 New York City–based organizations, engaging youth, LGBTQ+ communities, trans and gender non-conforming people, HIV+/HCV+ individuals, people who use drugs, and those experiencing homelessness. He develops self-care programming and wellness support systems for advocates and organizations, offering both direct care and spaces for reflection and restoration.

Currently, Carlos is focused on creating healing workshops and spaces for men and community members to deepen their understanding of how systems of oppression perpetuate violence — and how to break those cycles through compassion, accountability, and care.

Recently, he became certified as an Acu-Detox Specialist through the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA), joining a legacy of healing advocacy first championed in 1972 by the Young Lords and Black Panther Party, who brought auricular acupuncture to drug-impacted communities.

Carlos also launched #100MenRising, a community campaign raising visibility around violence against women and femmes. Each year, he mobilizes men to join the annual Brides’ March on September 26, 2025 — rain or shine — as a visible commitment to ending violence and uplifting survivors.

In his personal life, Carlos practices yoga, breathwork, sound healing, and Espiritismo, and he is passionate about exploring vegan and vegetarian cuisine across New York City. A lifelong learner, one of his favorite books is The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.

His guiding quote: “Be the change you want to see in the world.”
